What you need:

200g of Odlums Cream Plain Flour

A pinch of salt

1 tsp Odlums Baking Powder

100g light brown sugar

150g of softened butter

1 egg

1 tsp Goodalls Vanilla

1 tsp Goodalls Cinnamon Powder

2 packs of glacier sweets

1tsp of red food colouring

How to:

Preheat the oven to 180C. Line a large tray with parchment paper.

 

In your stand mixer beat the brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy.

 

Add the egg and beat in. Now take the bowl off, add the flour, cinnamon, vanilla and baking powder, and beat well with a wooden spoon. Place it onto a floured surface and bring it all together with your hands.

 

Roll the pastry out to a 1cm thick and then cut out your biscuits using a round cutter. In the centre of each biscuit cut out using a star cutter.

 

Place onto the lined baking tray and bake for 15 minutes. Once baked and still hot, using a skewer or straw punch a hole in each biscuit so you can hang them on your Christmas tree later.

 

Melt the glacier sweets in the microwave or pot until turned into liquid and then add the red food colouring and stir through.

 

Spoon the melted glacier sweets into the centre of each biscuit and let them cook.

 

String through some ribbon and enjoy
