What you need:

 

  • 350g /12 oz Odlums Cream Plain Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Odlums Baking Powder 
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 125g/4 oz Butter
  • 200 g Caster Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 4 medium Bananas (Mashed)
  • 60ml/ 4 tablespoons Buttermilk

Frosting 

  • 100g Icing Sugar (Sieved)
  • 400g Cream Cheese
  • 200g of Walnuts
  • 200g of honey 

 

How to:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
  2. In a large bowl beat the caster sugar and butter together.
  3. Then add the eggs one by one.
  4. Next add the buttermilk and bananas. 
  5. Now add the flour and baking powder and place into a greased cake tin. 
  6. Bake for 30 minutes. 
  7. While baking make the frosting by combining the icing sugar and cream cheese and keep in the fridge. 
  8. Mix the walnuts and honey on a tray and toast until golden and crisp. 
  9. Once the cake is cooked and cooled then you can add the frosting. So layer it on top and top off with the walnuts.
