What you need:

  • 150g Golden Caster Sugar
  • 150g Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 225g of Odlums Cream Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp of Odlums Baking Powder
  • 200g of Chocolate Chips plus extra for decorating 

To decorate 

  • Butter Cream Icing
  • Goodalls Red Food Colouring 
  • Odlums Mini Marshmallows
  • Large Marshmallows for the eyes

How to:

These Halloween Cookies are a lot of fun- get the kids involved for a happy Halloween!

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C
  2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and golden caster sugar until pale and light. Then add the egg and beat in.
  3. Now add the Odlums flour, baking powder and chocolate chips and beat until well combined.
  4. Place 24 tablespoon dollops of the mixture on a tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 9 mins.
  5. Once baked, allow to cool.
  6. Add the red food colouring to the butter cream until you have a nice red colour.
  7. Spoon the butter cream onto the bottom of the cookies.
  8. Arrange the mini Marshmallows around the edges and then sandwich them together.
  9. Place 2 large marshamallows on top  of the cookies.
  10. Using a small amount of the icing as a glue add a chocolate chip onto each large marshmallows to make eyes.
