What you need:

  • 225g/8oz Odlums Self Raising Wholemeal Flour
  • 1 Level tsp Odlums Baking Powder
  • 125g/4oz Butter (Room Temperature)
  • 125g/4oz Caster Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 2 Large Bananas (mashed)

How to:

  • Preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4. Grease and base line a 900g / 2lb loaf tin

 

  • Put all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and beat until well blended. Transfer to the prepared tin and level the top.

 

  • Bake in a central position in the oven for about an hour until well-risen and golden brown. A skewer inserted in the centre should come out clean. 

 

  • Remove from oven and leave in the tin for about 5 minutes, then turn onto a wire tray, remove the lining paper and cool. 

 

  • Store in an airtight tin.

 

  • Enjoy
