- Preheat your waffle iron and lightly oil the plates using an egg brush and a small bit of oil.
- In a separate bowl whisk 1 egg, 150ml milk and 30ml oil together.
- Make a well in the centre of the large baking bowl and pour in all the liquid ingredients.
- Using a whisk mix all the ingredients together until a stiff, fluffy batter has formed. The batter should not be dense or too fluid. It should be a dropping consistency.
- Once the waffle maker is fully heated drop 2 dessertspoonful’s of batter onto each waffle plate (for waffle maker with plates 10x10.5cm) and close over.
- Bake for the time instructed on your waffle maker, approx. 5-10 minutes, until golden in colour.
- Remove from waffle maker and serve immediately with desired toppings.
Serving Suggestion: While hot add a dollop of your favourite ice cream on top and Enjoy!
