What you need:

  • 300g Odlums Strong Flour

  • 1 sachet of yeast

  • 120ml of lukewarm water

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 80ml of yoghurt

  • 80g melted butter

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 2 sprigs of thyme

  • 2 sprigs of rosemary

How to:

In a large bowl mix the strong flour, yeast, sugar, salt, yoghurt, and lukewarm water and mix really well with a spoon. Tip it out onto the counter dusted with some flour and knead with the heel of your hand until it forms a nice smooth shape.

Place it back into the bowl and cover it with clingfilm. Leave to prove for an hour before knocking back the dough by punching all the air out.

Split the dough into the 8 and roll them out using a rolling pin into nice oval shapes. You can make them as thin or thick as you like.

Heat a frying pan on medium heat and cook each naan bread for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Place them wrapped up in a tea towel to keep them warm.

Melt the butter, crush the garlic, chop the herbs and place them all into a bowl, and mix. Brush the herbed garlic butter over the naan bread and serve.

Enjoy
